Costa Rica
![]() |
Costa Rica is well known as a peaceful,
democratic country where education, health and ecology are top government
priorities. The capital is San Jose
with a history dating back to pre-Columbian times. San Jose has a mixture of modern and colonial architecture
yet remains charmingly quaint despite being a fairly large city with a slightly
International flavor. Virtually
everything that can be found in Canada and the US can be found here.
It offers good shopping, a wide range of hotels, varied night life,
restaurants serving International cuisine, lovely parks, art galleries,
theatres, museums, two English newspapers and much more.
Year-round spring like temperatures add to the cities appeal. |
|
Located in the tropical latitudes between the giant biological influences of North and South America and bordered by two oceans, mountainous Costa Rica enjoys an immense diversity of climates and ecosystems. Covering 50,895 square kilometers (19,700 sq. miles), Costa Rica is the second smallest Central American nation after El Salvador. At its narrowest point, in the south, only 119 kilometers (65 miles) separate the Caribbean from the Pacific. |
| Why is Costa Rica so popular that
thousands of North Americans and Europeans are moving here?
It has the best climate in the world and a safer environment to retire in
or raise children. There are no
gangs or noticeable drug culture, no drive-by shootings or liquor store holdups
and no racial clashes. There is
great food and restaurants, as well as friendly people. Construction quality is equal to the
developed world. Labor costs are
low. Prices are very reasonable.
There is no need to pay heating or cooling bills.
Land is inexpensive. Costa
Rica is more or less a tax-free country – if you know what to do.
If you don’t we will help you. Guanacaste

Guanacaste is the northern province of Costa Rica on the Pacific Coast. Its main city is Liberia, whose International Airport operates weekly flights to Canada, US and Europe, among other destinations. Because of its location and many tourist attractions, the government has declared this area a priority for tourist development and offers great investment opportunities in real estate and building development. There are twelve major Pacific beaches in Guanacaste, each offering its own beauty, characteristics and activities.

Playa Hermosa

Winner of the “Ecological Blue Flag” Award in 2004, this sparkling immaculate beach is a very popular destination for tourists looking for a charming, serene, tropical beach with an easy ambiance. Playa Hermosa is 1,600 meters in length and is surrounded by tropical dry forest. It is also a favorite for retirees looking for a quieter, less-crowded relaxation destination. |

Restaurants here offer varied menus of local and International cuisine. Several nautical outfitters are available for booking sport fishing, diving and sailing trips. Sunset cruises are amazing. The road to access this area is fully paved and is just 30 minutes from the International Airport in Liberia.
